Full, luscious lips are commonly recognized as a symbol of youth, beauty and sensuality among women. The ideal lip appearance consists of a full upper lip that partially covers the upper teeth when the mouth is slightly open. If you would like to obtain fuller, more attractive lips, then you may want to consider lip augmentation.

At Texas Surgical Arts, we offer several lip augmentation solutions that will help you look and feel your very best. You can learn which option is the right fit for you by speaking with Dr. R. M. AM I A CANDIDATE FOR LIP AUGMENTATION?

Just about anyone who is unhappy with the appearance of their lips may be a candidate for lip augmentation. If you were born with thin, poorly defined lips, and are looking for a change, Dr. Bonnor can help you achieve the beautiful, sexy lips you desire.

Lip augmentation is also an excellent option for individuals who have lost volume and definition in their lips as part of the aging process. This procedure can help you restore the full, youthful lip appearance you once enjoyed.

LIP AUGMENTATION OPTIONS

Dr. Bonnor offers the following lip augmentation options to patients at the Houston office:

  • Dermal fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Vollure, Volbella)
  • Fat transfer
  • Lip Implants

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are nonsurgical and used to plump up your lips, restoring lost volume, fullness, and definition. Dermal filler treatments can be done within the office and require very little to no downtime. During your consultation, Dr. Bonnor will ask that you look into a mirror, and point out specific areas you where you would like more fullness. This means you’ll leave the office knowing exactly what your results will be.

Dr. Bonnor takes pride in delivering a unique lip augmentation procedure specific to each patient.

A popular solution for fuller, enhanced lips is the usage of injectable fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane. Fillers are made from natural substances found within the body such as hyaluronic acid or collagen-based solutions. This allows for a lip that looks and feels genuine.

Fat transfer

Fat transfer is another effective technique used to improve the appearance of your nasal labial folds, marionette lines and fine lines around the mouth area. This is an ideal option for patients who are also planning on having a fat transfer treatment in other areas of the face or body.

Lip Implants

Texas Surgical Arts offers an implant that is very soft and contoured. Placement is done with anesthesia, and through one puncture in each corner of the mouth (on the inside, to hide them).

FAQ

What is a Lip Flip?

A lip flip is when Botox is injected directly above the lip to relax the muscles (NO VOLUME IS ADDED). This procedure causes the lip line to flip out, rolling the lip gently outward, and giving the appearance of a fuller, sexier pout. This can be done alone or in combination with a lip filler.

How long will the results last?

The length of the results depends on the type of lip augmentation you choose: fillers or a physical implant. The implant is essentially permanent unless some problem arises necessitating its removal, or you change your mind about the implant down the road. However, lip fillers provide a temporary effect lasting between 4-12 months, depending on the product used.

Do lip injections hurt?

Your lips will be numbed beforehand. You may feel a slight prick or pinch as the needle is inserted, but most people handle the procedure very well.

Will the results look natural?

In the hands of an experienced cosmetic surgeon like Dr. Bonnor, your results are tailored to the look you want. Whether you desire a natural look, a dramatically voluminous result or something in between, we’ll make sure you receive the pout that makes you feel confident and beautiful.

How much downtime is involved?

Fillers require no downtime. Your lips will bruise & swell temporarily, so you may want to take the rest of the day off to let the bruising subside. The swelling will go down 50%. Lip Implants cause swelling for several days, so you may want to wait a few days before returning to work.

How much does lip enhancement cost?

Lip enhancement cost varies as it is dependent on the technique used and the particulars of your procedure. At the time of your consultation, we will provide you with a cost estimate, payment options and financing options such as care credit.
